The Map of Omdurman is an attempt to redraw Omdurman and identify the locations of many important buildings and events; through analyzing old sketches and inaccurate maps of Omdurman.
The map’s development is research based. The development phases included a historical maps review, a literature review, historical background analysis, interviews conducted, comparisons between historical pictures and visual content. This is in addition to listing locations in maps, onsite visits, and geo-referencing to ensure accuracy of drawings.
